Our operation is anchored in our L.V.D methodology:
- Locate: We invest in cutting-edge technology and leverage our team’s expertise to accurately identify underground utilities using GPR & EM locating technologies.
- Verify: Our use of potholing (non-destructive excavation) ensures the precision of our findings as well as verify the depths, size, material and various other data.
- Document: From print to digital deliverables, 2M provides comprehensive reports, including utility maps, models, and GIS data, equipping our clients with crucial project insights and a record of our findings.

Leadership and Company History
The journey of 2M General Engineering, Inc. began with Sacramento natives and lifelong friends, Matt Morrow and Chris Post. Diverging after college into land surveying and digital marketing, respectively, they reunited during the COVID quarantine, finding a unique opportunity to merge their skills.
This collaboration led to the creation of 2M, born from a shared mission to enhance construction safety and efficiency through advanced utility locating, potholing, and mapping services.
